Our departments

Welcome to the school ICT desk. Information and Communication Technology  (ICT) Desk is responsible for ensuring that our school has digital footprint on the internet in this digital era of 21^st century. Almost everything has gone online or utilizing ICT devices to get a service. The ICT Desk facilitated the teaching staff online INSET for the use of Google technologies (Google meet and Google classroom) in September 2020 to enable the continuity of teaching and learning during the COVID pandemic of 2020.

In 2022 the ICT Desk facilitated the development of the school website i.e https://www.chepkongonysec.sc.ke

The ICT desk of our school is responsible for carrying out the following functions:

1. Facilitating entry, update and maintenance of school, students and staff details in the school portals namely;(a)  ZERAKI Portal (school information management system), (b) NEMIS portal (MOE school management system),(c) TSC portals (TSC online, TMIS and TPAD portals).
2. Facilitating registration of KCSE candidates on the KNEC portal for purposes of national examinatioins (KCSE Examinationa)
3. Managing, updating and maintaining school website i.e https://www.chepkongonysec.sc.ke

4. Issuing website login credentials to students and teachers for the purposes of access and use of school website resources on   i.e https://www.chepkongonysec.sc.ke

5.Managing school official email addresses and social media handles accounts

6.Downloading and uploading  of official documents such as circulars from TSC and/or MOE and disseminating the same accordingly

7.To host and/or facilitate teaching staff online Inservice Training (INSETs), seminars and workshops such as the Remote Learning Methodology (RLM) as may be prescribed by TSC, MOE and CEMASTEA from time to time.

8. Facilitating publishing and issuing of school academic merit lists, report forms and official transcripts.
